Edward Ogilvie (1814-1896) was born in England and emigrated with his family to Australia at the age of ten. In 1858 he returned to England where he met and married Theodosia de Burgh (1838-1886). They reurned to Australia and settled at place called Yulgilbar where he built up a large estate. The Ogilvie clan became prominent in the area and Edward served for several years as a member of the Legislative Council in Sydney. Edward and Theodosia were the parents of eleven children. Descendents live in Australia and England.
