Diamonds & Demons: The Joseph Gutnick Story - David Bernstein
A story of tenacity, luck, toughness - and controversy. Joseph Isaac Gutnick - variously known as Diamond Joe for his mining exploits, Demon Joe for his presidency of the Melbourne Demons, and the Lubavitcher Rebbe's Special Emissary for the integrity of the Land of Israel is a fantastic mix of contradictions. All but wiped out in the 1987 stockmarket crash, he is one of the few high-flyers who managed to survive, and slowly work his way back to become one of Australia's wealthiest and most successful goldminers.About the Author:
