Author(s): Mary Wilkie

Travel, Guides, Exploration, Walking, Adventure, Atlases | Non Fiction

Every year thousands of people walk across Spain to the shrine of St James in Santiago de Compostela. This pilgrimage began in the Middle Ages and has continued for more than a thousand years. People of all ages from many countries walk or cycle this pilgrim route. Like many modern pilgrims the author was neither young nor athletic when she set out from Paris with Santiago as her goal. She was not sure if she could go the distance. This diary recounts the 1800 kilometre journey day by day.

As new.
