About the Author Barbara is married to Norman, an Aboriginal Australian and has a son Michael, They live in Cairns, Australia. She is a pastor, mediator, psychologist and teacher. Barbara helped the Mapoon Aboriginal people move back to their land in 1974 after they had been moved off by police for a mine. She helped set up the North Queensland Land Council in 1978. Barbara has written on Queensland discriminatory legislation and deaths in custody. In the 1990's she was the CEO of the Aboriginal Co-ordinating Council which represented Aboriginal local government. Barbara and Norman take groups of Australians to Israel for Christian conferences.
